Over de Swaen
In 1980 was de Swaen een van de eerste salonboten die hun entree maakten in de grachten van Amsterdam. Vijf jaar later, in 1985, werd de boot bekroond met de titel “Boot van het Jaar”. Tijdens de restauratie van de Swaen in 2014 kwamen we er bij toeval achter dat de boot in het verleden drastisch was ingekort. Aan de hand van oude foto’s en verhalen hebben we de Swaen teruggebracht naar haar oorspronkelijke lengte.
De Swaen is nu uitgerust met een dakraam dat open kan schuiven, ramen die opgerold kunnen worden en een fluisterstille elektrische aandrijving. Dit maakt de Swaen de ultieme salonboot voor een heerlijk diner, een uitgebreid buffet of een gezellige en unieke borrel.
